Email correspondence for commissions ONLY. I use email to keep a record for my own reference. I often refer back to messages for commissions to ensure I have included all relevant details.  
Do NOT contact me via tumblr, facebook, discord, patreon, twitter, etc. to discuss your commission.
It is time consuming & impossible to coordinate between the messaging services of many social media applications and not lose information. DMs can also be incredibly disruptive to my work flow & momentum in addition to being hard to find to refer back to.

 

  • Client must be 18 or older. Personal preference.  If I find out you’ve been less than honest about your age we will not be working together again.

 

  • ONE point of contact per commission. 

If you need to retrieve reference from someone for the commission, please do so before contacting me. I can also send the invoice to someone else if someone else is paying for the commission and an email address is provided. 
 

  • If you do not include references you will be automatically removed from the pool.  Those selected will receive emails from me & I will post when I have made my selections.  If not selected, please do not contact me asking about how I made my choices.
     

  • I will send you a sketch and a paypal invoice.  At this point, you can ask for any changes and tweaks to the lines.  YCH poses will not be changed, they are what they are.

  • When you are happy with the lines, you pay the invoice.  I am no longer accepting partial payment for pieces under $100.  Please pay invoice within 2 weeks of receiving it.  When I have received payment and the go-ahead, I will begin coloring the piece.  Once I have started this, there will be no more changes to the lines - only coloring.

  • When the piece is finished, I will email you the finished piece as a fairly large .jpg. If you need it converted to CMYK color for print or in any other file format or size, I will be happy to provide that for you (within reason) free of any additional charges.
     

If you are interested in multiple commissions, I have no problem doing that as well, but they will be treated each as individual transactions and submissions, and will occupy different places in my queue if selected.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Once paid for, the final images are yours to do with as you please. WIP images and preliminary sketches are to be kept private between the artist and the commissioner unless otherwise discussed.  I often use commissioned artwork for my livestreaming but if you would not like yours included or it is a surprise gift, please inform me.

All finished commissions will be published to my website (www.rayeliann.com), patreon (rayeliann), discord server, twitter (@rayeliann) and/or tumblr (rayeliann).  You are welcome & encouraged to post finished works on your sites as well.  Make sure they have appropriate links back to me as credit.

  

I retain the right to share the image as a sample work on my website, Patreon or in a portfolio.  Links to these places will be posted with any commissioned artwork when posted by me.

 

If at any time you crop the image and the signature is distorted or taken out, I ask you attach the artist name in a way that can not be severed from the visual file (eg: Tumblr comments can be erased).

 

You may not use my work for "edits" or put filters over it. 

Do not upload my work to print services that cache designs for anyone to print (such as Society6 and Redbubble).

Do not resell my work if at some time you decide you are finished with the character depicted.

Do not use my work for NFTs.

Changes to lines or composition happen before payment - only changes to coloring or the addition of scars/freckles/tattoos will be accepted post- payment. Changes to the final piece must be requested within 48 hours of receiving the final piece.

I WILL NOT DO:

​

  • Real People

  • Gore or Body Horror.  If you want a battle-bruised or scarred character, that is acceptable.  But I won’t do anything much past that. (Warcraft Undead tread this line depending on how many bones you want jutting out of them.  If you are unsure, send me an email and we'll talk it over.)

  • Non-con or Dub-con  I will not do illustrations for fics that feature this either.  If you use my artwork for such purpose after the fact, I will not be working with you again.

  • Bondage.  I have a personal trigger with restraints, gags, and bound hands.

  • Self-harm or Drug abuse

  • Minors in compromising positions or situations.  If you are commissioning me for shippy art, - all parties involved must be of age and unimpaired.  This is my call for how far is too far and what makes me uncomfortable. 

  • Mech

  • Anthro/Furries - I am not comfortable with animals and more complex anatomy and prefer humanoid characters. Khajit, Dragonborn, Worgen (in wolf form), etc are really far out of my comfort zone.

 

I reserve the right to decline any commission for any reason.

 

NSFW commissions (this includes any commissions with nudity) are only available to Patreon supporters of a certain tier who are 18+.

Included in your submission email:

  • Your preferred name/pronouns or how you would like for me to address you while we correspond.

  • The email you would like your invoice to be sent to if it is different from the one you are contacting me with.

  • If you have a patreon discount.

  • Your character’s name/pronouns.

  • Relevant world details (including game they are from etc.)

  • Short description of the character physically & personality wise. Preferred form of bulleted list. Be sure to include hard to see details that may not be obvious in screenshots like eye color, hair color, tattoos, scars, freckles, etc.

  • General idea of what you would like.  I’ll be choosing what I work on so I can do more that excites me or gets my mind going.  This is generally not hard to do, but I tend to favor commissions that present their references in an organized manner and allow me some degree of artistic interpretation/freedom.

 

Included in your references:

  • Images of ALL characters you would like to be present in the piece.  Including any characters I have drawn previously as well as canon characters. 

  • Preferably more than one image of a character.  If it is from a video game screenshot please make sure it is well lit and decent resolution.

  • If you have images of your character from the point of view that will be in the piece, that is important to include.

  • If not included as part of the commission, a pose reference or several.  This includes hand-drawn stick figure MS Paint references for composition.

  • Outfit reference.  Please consider what will be shown in the commission and what might be hidden by pose, long hair, etc.

  • If it is a design commission aesthetic images are preferred to direct reference.

  • Optional: Color Palette

  • Optional: Lighting Preferences

An Additional fee may be added to your order if you have a deadline that is less than one month from being accepted.  You must let me know up front. 

 

Patreon Discounts are applicable to all commissions (YCH included) but please be sure to mention you are a patreon supporter (and tier) in your submission email.

 

Patreons from the $20 Reward Tier may opt to forgo their monthly sketch for a $20 credit on a commission that they have underway.
